Sunday 22 September. It is time for upgrades on my two cellphones. Paperwork done and then a block on the system. Agent make a call to head office and was told that there is a pre legal on the account. The agent also could not say why and for what. I was given a nr to call on Monday to find out what the problem might be. The legal department is closed over weekends. I phoned Cell C myself there and then just to find out that there is R18.26 outstanding on my Control Chat account. I went straight into the bank and paid the R 18.26 and gave the Cell C agent the proof of payment. I was told that this will take 12 hours to be cleared. (In this modern day and time, cash in the bank with proof). Monday I gave the legal dept a call just to find out that they can not see the payment. I then e-mailed the proof to them and they still can not locate it. Eventually I was told it might take up to 3 months because I was in arrears but nobody could tell me why I was not informed that there was an outstanding amount. Nobody could give me a reason why I was not informed about the R18.26. Every time I called there was a new excuse. Bottom line Cell C . Unfriendly incompetent staff!!
