I received a call from Cell C a couple of weeks ago to tell me my account was in arrears. I was very surprised at this as I had cancelled my account on 05/03/2013. Luckily I had a copy of the Notification of Termination that I had filled out at Cell C Cresta where I was told they would process it. I went to Cell C Cresta the next day to find out what was going on and was basically told they had never processed it and I now have to pay all the arrears even though I had the Termination Notification with Cell C Cresta stamp on it and signed by one of their employees as proof.
Since then I have spoken to legal / pre legal / customer services / cancellation and billing departments and NOBODy can sort this out or even tell me if my account is now cancelled! I have emailed and faxed the proof of Termination many times and funny enough every time I call to see if they have received it nobody can find it. I even got a reference number (1309250000077275) to say my query has been escalated to pre legal and someone will get back to me but when I call nobody knows what I am talking about!
I am at my wits end to know what to do next. Ive never experienced such incompetence in my life!
