I was retrenched last year. I could not pay my contract, I send trough my retrenchment letter and my account was put on hold. When I found new employment I went into Cell C Westgate. The consultant phoned legal department to get outstanding amount, I paid the full outstanding amount given to me. My phone was activated again and according to legal department I was to pay my account for 3 months before I can upgrade. After 3 months there was still a legal holding on my account. I phoned customer care from Westgate branch, lady informed me that my account was paid in full according to Cell C records and that Cell C never send through proof of payment to Legal department. Nearly 6 months and I still don't have this sorted out. Legal department refuse to give me statements showing how they get to the amount they recon I still owe and if Cell C gives me statements I'm paid up and don't owe anything. PLEASE I really need this sorted out.
