My iPhone4 had a charging issue and I booked it in at the Clearwater MTN on the 7th Sep. I was contacted days later and told that they have to exchange it as it "they" cant repair it. I had to pay in just under R2, 500.00 Which I did and sent proof of payment but only after they could see it in the account were they allowed to send the phone back to the store and I collected on the 18th! This is 11 days for an exchange! this "new" phone only worked for about 13 hours before it gave a Sim error. I tried 4 other Sim cards in the device and it still didn't work so I sent an email to MTN. I was then told to take it back and I would be assisted as PRIORITY (2 Hours). I took it in on 20 Sep to the walk-in repair centre in Crown-Mines. There was some stocktaking so Priority went out the door. I was then told to collect on the 23rd. I collected on the 23rd (notice that this is the second replacement). I inserted my sim card into this new phone and it still didn't work. They called someone from the back who convinced me that my sim is old and I need a sim swap (but it worked in another phone) I did a sim swap and the new sim also doesn't read! I upgraded the iOS and no difference! HELP?!?
