I bought a pair of Adidas rugby boots at Top Gear in George on October 13, 2023. I made this purchase early because I was concerned that they might be sold out by the middle of January 2024 when schools opened. My son began using them from January 22, 2024, until February 20, 2024. He practiced in them every day, but only on warm days; they never practiced in the rain.
I returned the boots to the store where I purchased them to show that the upper part and the soles were coming loose. After a week, they got back to me, saying the supplier attributed the damage to wear and tear. I disagree with their assessment. The boots were only used for nine sessions. I find it unacceptable to pay R2499.00 for rugby boots that last only a month.
Please look into this matter. I have attached photos of the boots and the receipt from the purchase. I am waiting for your feedback.
