Sim swop

I made a sim swop yesterday to a micro sim. My existing phone has water damage and does not function properly
My new sim is now lock to my contract 9790 "damaged". Can't use the sim in a new S4mini or any other phone. I have a business to run and make a lot of calls a day. The call center don't have any explanation. It seems like a simple problem to fix but no one can help me. The old phone needs to be in a charger 24-7 and goes of without any warning. It is very frustrating and nobody seems to care.
