Pathetic service

I took my Blackberry phone to Blackberry Vodaworld yesterday to have my software uograded. The black lady that came to assist me took one look at my phone and told me that it's an MTN phone and that i must go to MTN to have the software upgraded, that's like buying a BMW from a friend and then you take the car to BMW for service and they refuse to service it cos you didnt buy it from them. The lady was extremely rude and when i asked for a manager to assist me i was told that there was no manager or anybody available to assist me. The phone clearly states BLACKBERRY and not MTN on it. She then directed me to Vodacom as i have a Vodacom contract and i am using my Vodacom contract on that phone and they could not understand why could Blackberry not assist me. Can somebody please explain the logic behind this ridiculous behaviour. My contract is due for an upgrade soon and with this type of service i surely hope that i make a better choice in phone supplier. I still dont understand what MTN or Vodacom has to do with me upgrading the software on my phone, maybe i should choose days when staff are not hungover or have enough rest from their weekend parties.
