In June 2012, I updated a data contract at the Nicolway. I took out the deal of 3Gb per month (with a rollover on unused data) for R199 per month. As part of the deal, I paid in R325 for a router. The router was out of stock and so I was told to collect in a few days.

I did not feel comfortable about the assistant being particularly competent (the assistant was later to be fired so I was told). So I phoned the Autopage help line. They confirmed that I was on the R199 3Gb contract..

The router was never to arrive and later I found out that an assistant cancelled the order (why??).

Then the invoices started rolling in. Firstly they were for ~R345pm for 2Gb then it was changed to R145pm for 2Gb (after about 10 phone calls) but never to the correct R199 for 3Gb.

The clever bit on Autopage's part was that as I went over 2Gb usage the invoice ran into thousands.

After 13 months Autopage admitted their error but they wont correct the 2Gb/3Gb error. I have written 20 times this year on their "request page", phoned numerous tiems to the help line and sent in emails. But it is a brick wall except "we have corrected the contract amount to R199pm". Going over 2Gb need to be corrected
