I recently changed form a mtn contract to a pay as u go. with the aim to change to vodacom. I have been a loyal mtn contract user since the 90's. During the "migration" I have lost R2000 rand worth of airtime. OK (i suppose) that's the cost of changing providers. But to my dismay... I bought a bundle from FNB bank which included voice, sms and data.
I have not been able to activate my data. i have phoned MTn constantly to try and rectify the problem. Only to be told that I have to 147, when i phone 147, i am told I have to phone 1555. Which I did. When on the phone to 1555, they say i have to phone 147. But alas during this time my air time has bee diminishing (for phoning my service providers help line?)
I am still on the phone and - oh gosh my consultant has just disconnected me AGAIN! As of yet I have not been able to redeem my purchase from FNB (and although being cut off i receive a "automated call " from MTN asking about the service LOL.
I still do not have data access on my phone, Thank goodness that I have wireless access via Internet Solutions. I have been "CUT OFF" by 4 MTN consultants. MTN consulats think it is ok to cut off paying customers (run out of.
