Haunted by Vodacom after porting number to MTN

1 Oct 2012 I ported my Vodacom number to MTN after an 8 month dispute over data roaming charges (which I maintain were invalid) and having paid Vodacom approx R10, 000. Now, nearly a year later, I get a call from a collection company telling me that I still owe Vodacom R388.41 as they bill in arrears and those were the fees from Sept 2012. Vodacom sent me multiple SMS' telling me my account would be turned over for collection and asking me to call on 082xxxx number which I attempted multiple times. But this number is an automated number which asks for your cell phone number and repeatedly told me the number I entered was invalid. I do not recall receiving that final invoice nor the final demand letter that Vodacom said they sent to my PO box. When I explained the situation to the collection agency they sent it back to Vodacom and I received a computer generated printout from Vodacom of the "invoice" and instructions to call the collection agency back. I offered to pay the outstanding R388.41 to get Vodacom out of my life. But now the collection agency insists I also pay an additional R367.64 because the account was referred to collection. This just adds insult to injury.
