Wrongful Default Added To My Name

A year ago, I went through financial trouble and had trouble making my payments to Vodacom. I made arrangements to pay the account off until it was up to date again and this was agreed by Vodacom.

I gave the instruction to continue to debit my accounts once up-to-date as I had 1 month and 2 months left on my contracts and was not going to renew it.

I discovered in December 2012 as I was preparing to move accounts that Vodacom had not been debiting me as they should have and was informed that I was handed over.

I tried to get hold of the correct people to sort the problem out as my instruction wasn't carried out, after multiple calls and complaints, I was given a number to call and found this number was the collection agency instead of the appropriate individual within Vodacom.

I was pushed to my wits end by rude consultants and to by team leaders and ultimately decided to pay the amount and move on with my life as trying to resolve the matter with Vodacom was becoming a personal taxing process.

I am now trying to finance a new vehicle but I cannot because of Vodacom... again.
