New services = no service for 8 months

This is the second complaint about the same service that I ordered. I ordered an Adsl line in May 2013 I was told to wait till August 2013 which I have. August came I got no service or any communication from telkom. I made a complaint here on. Telkom replied days later saying YOUR QUERY HAS BEEN ESCALATED. HERE IS YOUR REF NO: and they gave a number in the response. I called telkom days after I got the reply on hellopeter and that ef number was known to no one that I spoke to at the call Center. But alas I got a date of installation but first before they confirm the date I needed to pay a deposit. I paid R700 deposit.
Installation day can and gone. When I called to see what was happening I now get a storey that provisional installation date is November 2013 another 3 months! They have now found that some part of some sort that is needed for an Adsl line is not working in that area.
It's never worked. So they about installing the line and they've taken my deposit and I sit without a basic Adsl line. CAN DSTV NOT INTRODUCE A WAY TO USE THEIR DISH & HAVE INTERNET ACCESS THROUGH THEIR DECODER? Because telkom is pathetic. Cannot stand them all. Hope they go bankrupt
