3 months and still no answe

In may 2013 i phoned the 10210 call centre to order a new telephone adsl line. there was a contractor for telkom laying new cables in the complex and pushed the cables through to the units. i phoned telkom to order a adsl line for internet for home use. a 4meg line unlimited package.
i ordered in may 2013. they sent a message a day or later saying installation would take place AROUND 9 august! so i called and asked why only august? they told me there is no infrastructure in the area. (bedfordview bordering primrose in gauging) so i told them that was a contractor and they laid cables down. they new nothing about it and put a comment on the system for the technical team to advise.
no answer from anyone in telkom since. so ive waited till august. i called them on the 1august and asked to confirm the date of installation on the 9th august just to mae sure i would be home. they said the same thing again, no infrastructure but they were going to send a message to the technical team and i would get a sms the next day to let me know what was going to happen when. i waited 2 days and no ams. i called back. and still no answer.
is there really no other landline provider i can use?
