Vodacom
Cellphone Contract Cancellation

I called customer care line yesterday i.e. 02 September 2013 on or about 16:10 in order to enquire what process must I follow to cancel my contract with them and convert it to pre-paid. I was told that I need to call cancellations department on 082 1958, which I did and I was holding for 25 minutes before a consultant (Refilwe Mokobodi) could answer. Finaliy when she answered, she kept on trying to convince me not to cancell the contract but to consider other options. I made it clear to her that I'm not interested and my mind is made on what I need. After a long conversation of trying to bind me on another contract she agreed to advise me on the process. She told me that I need to call back on the 11th of November when the contract expires as the "System" can accept my request at "this moment". That is where I requested that she calls her superior, of which she was very hesitant at first and finally she asked me to hold while she is checking which supervisor is available. I was holding for another /- 10 minutes and she responded by saying her supervisor (Angelique Nkosi) is not prepared to attend to my request as this is not an "escalation". Refilwe
