I found out about this disgusting act recently when i went to the sandton store to upgrade my phone. initially, i had been with italk which was later bought off by mtn. when i first renewed my contract, i was supposed to pay 300 per month for my blackberry 9780. the lady explained that i have been paying 350 a month. which is R50 extra. now when i have upgraded to an samsung s4, instead of paying 400 i am paying 450! I want my money back or i will contact a consumer watchdog, consumer council or the ombudsman. how many other people has mtn done down like this? absolutely disgusting! in total i have lost 1300 from their thievery excluding interest. is this how mtn treats loyal clients? absolutely disgusting!!! i have all the relevant paperwork and i expect a response soon or i will take this to the newspapers as well!
