Vodacome does NOT put a smile on my face

My contract ended on 30 Aug and I made sure that the number was chaged to a pay-as-you go when the contract ended.
This was done on their system and they showed it to me.
On the 31st I had no line.
I called Vod Bus and they told me that the line had been disconnected.
I called Vod at Cresta and they told me not to worry as the note was on the systema and that the phone would work the following day.
On the 1st the phone did not work again.
I called Cresta and they said that the line was active on their side.
I called Vod Bus and they told me that the line was disconnected.
Patty at Vod bus told me to go back to Cresta and they would re-activate the line.
I went back to Cresta and after 2 hours they told me that they could not re-activate the number.
I phone Vod bus today and Patty told me that I must go back to Cresta and when I get there they should phone her.
I did this and an hour later they got hold of Patty and she told them to fill in a reactivation form, give me a new sim card and fax it back to her.
Simple if they had stock out of mirco sim.
Went to Vod shop at cresta - system off-line.
Got new sim at Game.
Emailed all docs to Vod bus
Still no line.
