Service. What is that?

Bought a Nexus 7 through vodacom's sales line. Two weeks after i bought it it did not want to charge. Looked for solutions online but none of it worked. I took the unit to Clearwater, they told me to take it to Cresta, Cresta did not want to accept it as they had no "bookin" code for it. Phoned the sales department again and they told me to take it back to Cresta and if they dont want to book it in i must phone the sales line whil i'm there.
Took the unit back to Cresta and they again said they won't book it in, they even refused to phone the sales line as they said without a code they will not be able to book it in. Phoned the sales line again and they told me to take it back to Cresta, i told them the whole story and was told an e-mail was sent explaining that the unit needs to be taken in by Asus. I was given the number for Asus (0861278792). Phoned this number and a voice prompt told me there is no one answering this line.

Here is me sitting with a unit which i want to use and nowhere to take.
Love you Vodacom, you make me want to deal with you on a daily basis.

P.S. Employees dont know what is happening with their own products so how would i get service?
