While upgrading on 23/08/13, I still had to pay for the SIM-swap. As there was no card facility at that counter, I was called to another, two stations down. Consultant Oswald left the new phone, Samsung Galaxy S4, unattended. As I arrived at the other counter, Oswald looked at the store entrance and asked if I had the phone. I didn't as it wasn't yet handed over to me. Another consultant, Luando, indicated that earlier there was a lady standing around, which is no longer there and suggested she took it. I asked to look at the CCTV footage, as advertised at the entrance, just to find out there are no cameras. Oswald quickly made me fill out an insurance form and took it to the manager. He returned with the sad news that I am responsible for the phone, since the contract was already signed by me. While speaking to the area manager, I mentioned the "late" insurance form. Only THEN I was offered a Samsung Pocket, but still on the S4 contract. If I "accepted" the insurance, I had to pay in R5, 000 for the S4. It made sense to rather accept a smaller handset and pay in nothing. The store manager requested me to approach Hello Peter, because "something is wrong", she said. Was I?
