I have been trying for roughly 2 months to get my MTN phone insured. I have phoned their insurance call centre numerous times and if I press 2 to apply for handset insurance the phone doesn't do anything it just goes blank.
If I phone again and select an option to speak to an operator it I hold on forever. I then phone their normal call centre and they said that they will send them a message to call me which in true MTN fashion 3 days has gone by and nothing has happened. So once again due to lack of service and delivery I have to resort to exposing their bad service to the world on the Internet, hoping that something will happen. I also sit with the risk that if something happens to my phone i will be without a phone and won't be able to claim because of their incompetence, R8000 down the drain and I'm tied in to my contract for nearly 2 years.
