I would like to inform you of the unfortunate and rather frustrating hassle I am currently having with MTN.
I had taken a contract with them in August 2011, this was taken via MTN direct, when the phone was delivered I did not receive a proof of purchase just a proof of delivery, which I had misplaced.
? My phone began giving me endless problems from early last year, with the phone freezing, I had taken it to the blackberry technician that was situated at the MTN Coastlands centre on many occasions, he had performed software upgrades, but to no avail.
? I had then taken to the MTN coastlands to be booked in for repairs, they were unable to assist as I did not a proof of purchase.
? I then contacted the MTN customer centre on more than 15 occasions, trying to request this, I even had relatives who were calling on my behalf as no one was able to send through my proof of payment for my phone to be booked in for repairs
- No MTN tells me that I don't have a blackberry with them, but they are debiting account of R279.
