We had XSInet dial-up internet and email since 2004. When we upgraded to DSL, a cancellation letter was sent through, so that the unneeded dial-up service could be cancelled. This was in 2007, when VoxTelecom took over from @lantic/XSInet
Now i see that we have been charged R95 every month, for the use of dial-up (people still use this?) and 3 email aliases. The first consultant tells me to resend the original cancellation letter so that we may be reimbursed. I did this. Now i get told that if we want to keep our 3 emails (used for business), we have to continue using this "dial-up" package of theirs, and we have to continue paying nearly R100 every month for an email address which provides 30MB mailbox... you read correct, an amazing 30MB!
I think it is quite unethical and pathetic to tell a loyal customer of 9 years "tough luck, if you want to keep your email addresses, you need to continue paying for a service which belongs in the 90's" - paraphrasing
We are currently with MWEB.
Why is it that MWEB can offer 5 emails (3GB = one MWEB email address has 100x more capacity than this 30MB XSInet mailbox), with a personalised domain for R79...?
Why does Vox charge for email??!
