Vodacom repair costs outragous

I am very dissapointed in the service that Vodacom offers. My mothers handbag were along with her cellphone so she went for an upgrade on the 29th of October 2012 to get a new phone. 1st She wanted an iPhone which the Woodlands branch told her that they discontinued the phone, so they persuaded her to take a Black Berry, she didn't want a Black Berry but Vodacom gave her a good deal (just to find out later that was not true). Her phone stopped charging just before the new year, so the phone was about 2 months old, with all the plastic still on the phone and cellphone pouch she gave the phone in for repair on the 2nd of Jan 2013. On the 18th of January we received an SMS saying the the repair cost on the phone will be R 1981.00. The phone has a 24 month warranty, they claimed that it is physical damage that she caused on the phone. She has been a customer with Vodacom since the beginning of time and this is the service she received, she has never brought a phone back for repairs. I just think the service that Vodacom offers to loyal customers are pathetic.
