BLACKBERRY TORCH

I have a talk 500 contract with Vodacom, My average spend per month is R 1 200.00. My Black Berry Torch 9800 is now just over a year old, and my tracker pad just stopped working, I need this phone to do my work, or I can work on a S3 or a Iphone. According to the sales pitch Vodacom used when we took the contract out, they reconned that this phone is fully repairable under warranty if the components like the tracker pad, sliding mechanism etc. break, as long as there is not water damage or mis use of the phone. NOW all of a sudden the repair cost of the tracker pad is R 1 800.00. I would think that Black Berry will actually do some effort to fix it's already bad reputation, although in congestion with Vodacom it seems like no one cares. We have a company policy of Vodacom and Blackberry. Now the question comes to mind, that Cell C and S3, or MTN and Iphone shouldn't be the solution, seen that the company have a annual spend of over R 500 000.00 of telephones from Vodacom. Please be so kind in responding to your policy that the phones is under warrenty for two years. Or shall I throw the phone away and look at other options.
