Zero Service from MTN Insurance

On May 9th 2013 while we were travelling in the Western Cape my cell phone was after jammed our locking system and ransacked our car while we had parked at a wine farm for lunch. They laptops, handbag, cameras as well as my cell phone. It was all captured on CCTV and the police very kindly sent us a copy of the footage. We sent the footage to Santam who paid out for everything except the cell phone on the strength of this footage - the cell phone is insured by MTN. This has turned into a nightmare. I have phoned their call centre many times and just this morning had to hang on for another 46 minutes first of all for my call to be answered, then for another 15 minutes for the supervisor, Lukie, who never even came to the phone as he was busy on another call. The service from Lukie has been appalling - he never returns calls, sends emails, answers emails. He promised to call or email by the end of business on Monday 24 June and I am still waiting. I am so frustrated by MTN. This has been going on for 6 weeks now, and they have had the footage for a week. My insurance for the phone was billed every month at R90 and never missed a payment.
