I was shopping at Woolworths Food in Northwold on Monday 04 March when I was robbed of my iPhone whilst shopping. I was very obviously distracted by one man whilst his accomplice my phone out of my handbag.
I went to the store promptly at 9.00am the next morning to report the incident.
The Manager took my details and said he would take a look on the security cameras.
I went into the store later that day to find out if they had seen anything but the manager was not available. I was told that these sorts of things happen all the time and that I can be lucky that it was only my cell phone.
I was called on Wednesday to say that I should come in on Friday to look at the camera's only to go there this morning to be told that they cannot access the footage further back than 4 days, and Monday's footage had been deleted! My questions to Woolworths are
1. Are the Woolworths staff in on this?
2. Would the footage have revealed this?
I shop in Woolworths because I enjoy the safe and clean environment - well this changes now doesnt it!
Clearly Woollworths do not care if people come into their stores to rob their customers as they are not interested in identifying them!
