Did an upgrade on my phone on contract. After 24 hours phone not yet activated (phoned store). Ditto 48 hours (visited store). Ditto 72 hours (visited store). Handed back new phone & requested old contract be installed. After another 24 hours could not get into e-mails, Facebook etc. (visited store). After 48 hours could not make or receive calls. (visited store). After 72 hours still no change. Tried to phone store. No answer. Visited store. Was advised that "someone had put store phone on silent".
In trying to get satisfaction I a) visited store on at least 5 occasions (time, petrol, parking fee) and b) sent 3 e-mails to the Area Mgr. Eventually after 8 days the original contract was re-instated and the old phone was operating. I requested compensation but to date have not received any word from MTN
