54 hours later and still no record of contract

Saturday 25 May 2013: Visited MTN Constantia Kloof, took out Anytime 750 contract with iPhone 5. Queried whether porting number would pose any problems or time delay, I was assured it wouldn't.

Sunday 26 May 2013: Collected handset and they claim they activated the line and was assured it would be up & running within 2 to 24 hours.

Monday 27 May 2013: 24 hours later, still nothing. Phoned store who promised to get back to me, they never did. Phoned them again and was told the system is down they can't help. Phoned MTN directly (808) and consultant could not pick up my cell number nor my ID number on the system. Was put through to activation department who promised it will be activated now and I should wait 2 to 24 hours.

Tuesday 28 May 2013: Another 24 hours, still nothing. The store advised me that the porting system was down and I should give it more time. Went to the store just before closing time (18:00) to get my existing sim (other service provider) cut to nano size to use in new handset. Tried using the phone for the first time, but can't hear unless on loudspeaker (faulty out of box). Phoned MTN (808) at 19:40, still no record of my number or ID, just a faulty device
