Converting from MTN prepaid to contract has been an absolute nightmare. Finally managed to convert on 22 April, but to date MTN is still happily deducting money on a monthly basis.
Needless to say I am not so thrilled about the situation and the general MTN customer service channels seems to be a dead end.
Can you please stop deducting money from my account and refund me for the last 3 months?
History/Information:
End Jan 2013: First notification via MTN portal that we want to migrate the contract and requesting advice on way forward.
1 Feb 2013: Reply from mtn active request: Contract end date is 2 march, please complete form.
Early Feb 2013: tried to submit form at MTN bank city. Assistant in shop advises forms should be submitted within week of contract end date
26 Feb 2013: Migration application fixed to prepaid submitted to Mbofi at MTN bank city
11 April 2013: After following up again, Mbofi submitted forms to MTN Corp business operations again, ref: KMBT282, #424
22 April 2013: Number finally converted from contract to prepaid.
