Cell C
Deductions for cancelled contract

I am writing this on behalf of my Mother-in-law who is not computer literate.

On the 19th Feb 2013 she purchased a Cell C contract. When she returned to her residence she found that she had no signal. She returned to the store and was informed Cell C had a problem with a signal in that area but they were working on it but could not tell her when it would be finalised. She explained she needed to have a connection and based on this she could not keep the phone.

The supplier agreed it would be a problem and on the 25 th Feb 2013 (NOTE within 7 days after the purchase) accepted the phone back and gave her documentation cancelling the contract!! She also received a receipt for the phone.

The following month she received a call from the store informing her they could not find the phone and could she please send them a copy of the receipt for the return of the phone, which she did.

Then on the 30th March they deducted R354.72 and again on the 31st May 2013 they suddenly deducted R 992.74 from her bank account.

This is for a cancelled contract. We demand the money be returned to her immediately and the debit order stopped.
