Continued Billing After Cancellation of Contract

My MTN contract expired on 19 May 2013. I am currently residing in China and contacted MTN via their website contact form on 02 June 2013 to notify them that I would like to cancel my contract and migrate to prepaid. I received an email reply on 3 June 2013 from [Email Removed] stating: "Thank you for emailing MTNSP. Kindly be advised that migration to prepaid forms have been received and sent to Retentions for attention. We look forward to being of service to you in the future." My assumption is that the process would have taken due course. However, I received new contract billing dated 20 June 2013 so I replied to the above email address and their previous response dated 3 June 2013 including my reference number to notify them of this error. I did not get a reply this time and assumed that they would cancel and credit my 20 June 2013 billing with immediate effect. I have however just received another monthly contract billing dated 20 July 2013. This seems to be an ongoing saga that is frustrating for me to sort out from China.
