If you don't have a Vodacom contract, or a faulty cellphone, consider yourself EXTREMELY lucky!!!
They are a horrible manufacturer that refuses to live up to the promises they make their customers.
Over 3 weeks ago I went to the Vodacare repair centre in Gateway as my BB Bold 9900 had just crashed. I was served by a young lady who seemed to think that as the customer I needed to be kept on a "need to know" basis. I had to ask about everything!
Over 12/13 days later (after having to call and get updates every 2-3 days) my phone was returned to me with Vodacom claiming "liquid damage" to the value of R5000.
I requested images/proof of this damage and I was sent some random image which I obviously couldnt even prove was from my phone.
Post this I took my phone to another repair centre which said there was no liquid damage whatsoever on my phone and repaired the issue within 2 days for a 10th of the cost!!
I am cancelling my contract with Vodacom and moving to another supplier because no one should be treating their customers like and getting paid for it!
Goodbye Vodacom,
