Vodacom's excuse not to repair or replace BB

My wife's BB Bold 9900 started giving problems, hanging, switching off randomly & finally gave an error at startup with a gray/white screen with a code on it. shortly before booking it in, it completely stopped turning on, only the red light was flashing. The phone was 15 months old but still in good condition. We booked it in at Centurion. The clerk told us where the. After 5 weeks they told my wife that the phone had liquid damage on the main board. It could be caused by spilling liquid on it or even sweat could have seeped into the phone??? They were not going to repair or replace it under warranty. They could give her another phone for an odd R5700. We collected the phone, I booked it in with another BB authorized repairer, who told me the next day that the main board is faulty, but that it didn't seem like liquid damage as the sticker on the inside of the phone on the main board that indicated liquid damage did not indicate any such damage. It would seem that Vodacom doesn't want to honor the warranty. I have not yet been back to Vodacom. Vodacom JOB NUMBER 8794237.
