I upgraded in November 2012 and I had the phone for 3 days then it started shutting down for no reason. I went to one of the vodacom stores in Cavendish and the lady in the repairs section told me that it had to be booked in. I was told that I had 7 days to replace the phone if it was faulty! I couldn't book it in at that stage as I needed my phone as my mother just passed and I needed to fly to Jhb that afternoon. When I eventually had the time to go back they just didn't seem to be bothered and again said I should book my phone in, so I did and after 2 weeks only got an sms saying that it would cost R5089 to repair as it had liquid damage, where on earth would it have picked up liquid damage if I hadn't had ANY liquid or steam NEAR the phone? I refuse to pay for this as this is Vodacom's fault as they delivered a faulty phone! I have been with vodacom for about 12 years and it seems like I'm just a number :(
