I currently have a top up 135 contract with vodacom which was due to expire around April/May 2013 if I am correct. I was not going to upgrade my contract but to leave it as is. However on the 13 th of May I received an SMS stating that my upgrade quotation had been generated. Initially I thought the message was sent in error but then on the 15th May I received 2 further SMS stating that my contract had been extended to 23 June 2025 and that I had been migrated to top up 315 which is scheduled for 31 May 2013. I have since logged a investigation query with vodacom and whenever I call I get told that my case is pending. At the moment I am feeling quite unhappy since I cannot utilize my phone as in should be since it has been frozen, I can only receive calls and SMS but cannot make any. I have been severely inconvenienced by vodacoms lack of proper security checks since this person was able to upgrade my account without my knowledge. It has been 7 working days and no resolution as yet, I need my phone services back as soon as possible. The ref number is S3 TPF2D DEPDO. I need this matter resolved immediately otherwise I will need to contact my lawyers!
