Upgrade of cellphone contract!

So my contract with Vodacom ends on 31 August 2013, and according to them I will only be able to notify them of cancellation at the end of July 2013 (in about 2 weeks time). On the 14 June 2013 I received 4 SMSes from Vodacom stating: 1) Upgrade quotation generated 2) Upgrade request process, 3) Contract extended to 12/08/2015, 4) Migation to TopUp 315 scheduled for 14/06/13, all within 15 minutes! When I called Vodacom, I was told to send affidavit (at my OWN EXPENSE - driving to police station, faxing, etc), stating that I did not authorize upgrade; meanwhile they could pick up from the system information about which shop (some shop in Pta - I'm in Cape Town) did the upgrade without my permission or authorization! I sent the affidavit a week ago and not a single person from Vodacom has called me to update me on the case. Don't even get me started with the statement I have recently received for the new "phone" I don't have! The unprofessional-ism and inconvenience!! :'(.. Had I committed, I would probably be in jail now :(
