I took out a top up 135 contract with Vodacom September 2011. On the 6th of September 2013 I received the following sms: Vodacom SP: Upgrade quotation 8028476 has been generated. I called on 7th September to query the sms, a consultant told me that there was a UPGRADE that took place on my number and he logged a request for me with ref no. S3-T0B2V-V9TZZ and he advised me to fax an affidavit and copy of ID stating that I never requested the upgrade which I did on the 9th of September and got an sms with ref no. S3-T0B2V-V9TZZ. Dealt with a lady by the name of Irene in the forensic division and she told me she was handling the matter and after a week got an sms saying the upgrade was reversed back to top up 135. Now yesterday 4th of October 2013 my number gets locked and I call and im told that ive exceeded my limit and that I owe R6000. Why am I billed for a phone/contract I don't even have or asked for? There is someone out there using a phone he/she took out using my details and now I must suffer. This matter was reported a month ago and it has not been fully resolved. My top 135 contract ended on the 26th of September and I requested that it be cancelled.
