Phone not being delivered

I renewed my contract two weeks ago, on 15th of May. It was said then that my phone would be delivered within 5 to 7 working days, that means the phone would have been delivered at the latest on the 23rd of May. It is now the 29th, and still nothing.

I phoned the call center this morning, and after waiting for 26 minutes, I finally got to speak to someone.
While talking to this person, she actually was talking in between with her colleague about how hungry she was. (Very professional).

Finally, she told me that there was a problem with the order, the phone should have been delivered by now, but something went wrong. Then she also said that many customers didn't receive their phones.

Now, I didn't want to spend 26 minutes waiting to be told that there is a problem, and that Virgin will phone me when it is solved, I phoned to find out when am i going to get the phone. Virgin Mobile never calls you back for anything, other than when you complain on Hellopeter.com.

I am seriously doubting that I should have renewed my contract.
Virgin Mobile, when is the phone going to be delivered, and when are you going to start delivering a service worth calling a service?
