Awful customer service at MTN stores

I just want to express my huge disappointment with MTN.

I simply wanted to change my contract from an open line to TopUp as I was getting R1400 bills for some phantom services.

So I tried walking into the MTN Benmore branch at 2:45 but the store was closed even clearly stating on the door that they are open up to 3pm, eventually after me pointing at my watch for 5 minutes in front of the door and them carefully checking their watches and time on the PC one of the two employees opened the door. After I explained what I want to do she told me that I have to call 808 and she couldn't help with this issue, I refused to do that because I'm already at the MTN service center, then I got an explanation "Sir I can do it but it can take up to 8 months for them to change it, you better call 808 and they can do it for you same day"

Tried going to Sandton City store and finding the employee that sold me the contract but then I was told that I can't change it now even after I reminded him that he said that I could do it at any time after signing the contract

I laughed and gave up on the store and MTN altogethe
