I renewed a Vodacom contract for a Blackberry Curve 9360 in Dec 2012. After 3 months, the phone stopped working - it literally died & wouldn't come back on. I took it to Vodacom's repair centre in Eastgate, after which I was left without a phone for ONE WHOLE MONTH before Vodacom eventually gave me an exchange model since they couldn't repair the phone. I've had the exchange model for 2 months. Since I received it, it always loses signal saying "SOS" or "Searching for Network" every 5 minutes or so, and usually says "battery too low for radio use" when the battery is full. Until I plug it into a charger, I can't use the phone. On Sunday, 12 May 2013, the phone refused to charge. I took it back to Vodacom repair centre requesting a new phone and emailed the repair escalations centre. I've been told that they will "motivate" for me. I think this is ridiculous! For the 6 months that I've had this contract, I've spent 1 month without a phone & 2 months with a phone that doesnt even work properly! So essentially I've paid twice as much for 50% use. I don't understand what more motivation they need to give me a new WORKING phone. I think it's unacceptable that I am yet again phoneless.
