I bought a Blackberry Curve Touch from on contract from Vodacom 6 months ago. The next day I returned to the store to tell them that even though I had charged the battery for 16 hours it was lasting 2 - 3 hours, the woman at the store said that they would not be able to exchange the phone but that I should hand it in for repairs. We took it to Canal Walk's repair centre twice where they tested the phone and said there was nothing wrong with it. A month ago we took it to the Blackberry Stand at Canal Walk and once again had it tested. We were advised that the wrong software was loaded.
Three weeks ago we took the phone the Vodacom Somerset Mall Repair centre. The phone was handed in in working condition, it occasionally froze and the battery life was still 2-3 hours. It was assessed and sent to JHB for repair. A week later we were sent a quote for some R1600 to replace the phone as it was uneconomical to repair due to condensation on the pc board. I sent it in for a battery problem? I rejected the quote and asked that it be returned to me in the same condition that I handed it in. I went to collect it on Saturday and it is totally dead?
