Unlawful blacklisting by Vodacom!!!

I took out a Vodacom top up contract some time last year and I had no problems paying this account until my employment contract was terminated. I called to inform Vodacom of my financial situation. In October last year I landed a well paying permanent job and decided to pay off the account in full.By that time the account had been handed over to a debt collecting company Burnard, Raaff and Associates and I spoke to Max there who was only happy to provide me with their banking details and full amount owing. I deposited the money and she confirmed the payment the following week and emailed me the paid up letter. She reassured me that everything would be adjusted accordingly. To my shock, today I received a call from another debt collecting company named Jacobs Burnard and Associates with regards to the same account saying the same balance which I paid last year is still owing and now Vodacom has Blacklisted me! How on earth do you blacklist someone without even getting in contact with them on an account that's already paid for?! I spoke to lady by the name of Alona and she says that "well that is what Vodacom told us" and my efforts to contact Vodacom have been unsuccessful.
