Vodacom
Faulty Blackberry Handset

My husband took my Blackberry 9810 into the repair centre in Alberton as the handset/device has completely shut down and cannot be used . it was to be booked in for repairs.

Firstly the staff could not trace the handset on their systems and insisted that it was not issued from vodacom stock. They advised they could only look into the matter if i provided them with an invoice to prove the hanset was from vodacom. I was then asked to call customer care on 082 111 for assistance, which i did and i retrieved a copy of the quote
The upgrade was done on 19 June 2013

On both occassions when i spoke with Josephine, she was unhelpful, rude and even put the phone down on me. This morning i spoke to Sean (her supervisor) and emailed the quote to him, he was just as unhelpful and told me that the upgrades department is a seperate entity of vodacom and their handsets are from an outsourced company... therefore they would not be able to book the phone in for repairs under warranty.

i am extremely annoyed as i upgraded with Vodacom as my service provider and if they outsource handsets from a third party i should not be held liable.
This contract has been running for 15 years
