I subscribed for a three year contract which expired 7 November 2013. This contract was paid upfront.Two years ago I applied for a "Black Tag" which allows an additional person access at R 100.00 per month. Nine months ago my debit order was cancelled without my knowledge and had access been denied. I paid up the balance of the account till the expiry of my contract, but had since then endless trouble to access the gym with my tag. I expressed my dissatisfaction several times, and also advised them by mail that their services is totally unacceptable. I advised them that I will not renew my contract when it expires, which they confirmed by mail. To my surprise I now receive calls from SAYA Recoveries regarding outstanding payments.
I will take serious steps should I be blacklisted as a result of a total incompetent service provider which is only interested in making money and not providing any service. It is also noted that my complaint is only one of many against Planet Fitness. Is it not time that the consumer be protected by exposing them on Carte Blanch or any other public media? Service providers like Planet Fitness should not be allowed to continually provide bad service.
