I received a call from Saya recoveries regarding an outstanding balance of R14k for Planet fitness Ruimsig.
The contract was signed in September 2009 and more than 3 years later I get a call from the recoveries company which I have been handed over to - informing me of the outstanding balance.
I have not once in the 3 year period received as much as an sms from planet fitness informing me of an outstanding balance. I have received a copy of the contract and it clearly states my cellphone number as well as debit order details.
The amount was not debited by planet fitness on a monthly basis from my account nor was a phone call given regarding an outstanding balance. I did not attend the gym once during this period.
I contacted planet fitness with the issue - nothing was done - I am still waiting for a sales manager or someone to get back to me.
I am now having threats of a garnish order.
The service received from planet fitness regarding the matter is appalling.
