I had a contract with planet fitness (Pretoria, Centurion) which expired in 2008. I personally sent a letter in writing requesting that they do not renew the my contract, and the manager confirmed receipt of my letter and did not renew my contract.
In Dec 2009 I left South Africa for the United States till now. Ever since my cancellation of my planet fitness contract until my departure from South Africa in 2009 - I never received any thing to say there was outstanding amount. All of a sudden 2013 I get SMS to say that my account with planet fitness is in arrears and I need to pay as soon as possible. Upon receiving the SMS' I call them, and their response is that they have been trying to get hold of me and my phone is always on voicemail - of course it has been on voicemail since 2009 Dec. I am honestly disappointed in planet fitness. After five years they suddenly realize that I owe them money - by the way I don't agree with them, since I know I followed every procedure in the book to wrap my affairs with them.
This just goes to show how incompetent you guys are - I have no desire to join planet fitness ever in my life! You are...
