PHONE UNDER INSURE

On the 15th February 2013 I went to Jet Zevenwacht to insure my new Blackberry 9320 and I asked to insure my phone Melissa Roman asked if i had the phone with me I gave her the phone in the box and she never explaind anything to me she just printed out a slip & told me the phone is insured. On the 17th Feb 2013 I was pushed in the pool and took my phone to Edgars on the 21st Feb they told me they will send the phone away to have it checked out and then they will call me, after 6 weeks i phoned them continuesly to find out how far my phone is and they only phoned me on the 10th April & told me i can come fetch a new phone. On arrival at Edgards it was brought under my attention I can only get a phone to the value of R2000. The value of the phone is R2400, after two months i was advised by one of the eployees that i need to pay in R400 to get the same phone i had. Please advise the way forward.
