6June2012 I went to vodacom springs for an upgrade from a sony experia x2 to the new S3 Samsung I got told it would take an hour for the sim to be activated & I should have my phone off in the interim. I insured the phone immediately in store using vodacom's insurance. Unfortunately in that hour i got hijacked & kidnapped all my belongings were including the S3. When I went to the store to report my phone & get my replacement. I got told I only insured the phone for 5K & the phone was worth more than 8K so I had to pay the remaining balance if i wanted the same phone. Firstly I did not instruct anyone to insure the phone for 5K & I didn't even know I had an option to under insure my phone. So the guy who assisted me said he'd get records of the call & get back to me. Its been over a year & I have heard nothing from anyone from vodacom & every month since the day I took the upgrade Vodacom has been debiting my bank account for a phone I don't have. They know very well that the sim for that phone has never been activated & I am not in possession of that phone. So why are they taking my money for a service not rendered? I want my money back!
