My 81 year old mum was very excited when she saw the advert for the fruit combo Fresh Stop was offering. At the store this specific combo special (nectarines, grapes and prunes) was being advertised on the shelve and the brochure but the complete combo was not there. On enquiring about it, the manager, Liesel van Rensburg said they were out of stock of the prunes. On saying that it was still being advertised, she just said, they didn't have anymore stock. I asked her if she could give me something in place of the out of stock item, she said she couldn't. I asked if she could give me a "rain check" so that I could get it when it's back in stock, she said she didn't do that. I said but then they should stop advertising this combo. She mentioned that the advert says "whilst stock last." I said it didn't say that on the advert. She referred me to a statement on the advert which said "limited quantities". I mentioned to her that had nothing to do with "whilst stock lasts."
It seemed that was her last answer and my mum was left disappointed not having received her combo.
I'm extremely disappointed at the lack of etiquette with regards to customer services at this store.
