Edgars insurance incompetent and unproffesional

My mom bought me a phone using her Edgars account which she also insured with them. My car was broken into my belongings (including the phone) were. I opened a case with the police on that same night and my mom reported the phone at edgars the next day.
Edgars staff advised that they need an affidavit (not case info). Affidavit was submitted by mom. She was told that the claim should be approved on the next working day (at Edgars Springs) and she can obtain the phone from anywhere thereafter A week later we went to Edgars Kempton Park we were told to claim in Springs
When my mom went they said the info on the affidavit is not enough, they then called a person named Nhlanhla at the insurance head office who insisted that I should call to explain what happened. When I called (spoke to Vuyiswa) he demanded what they call a "proof of forced entry" which is the receipt for fixing the broken window. I explained to them that the police woman that registered the case went to check the window and attested to that on the case statement. Vuyiswa claimed that it is stated in the t&c that an affidavit should be used instead of case info
