I lost my Nokia smartphone and have put in a claim for the insurance. I was told I need to go make an affidavit detailing my lost phone (model, imei no.) of which I did. I submitted my affidavit and claim forms on 17/08/2013 and after a week when I followed up on progress I was told there was still outstanding documents.(No bothered to contact me)

I was then told I needed to contact my service provider and blacklist my phone and will be given a ref no (info not mentioned to me before) and go make NEW AFFIDAVIT AGAIN. The police will then give me a case/oeb no. I feel this is an needless and would not have happened if I was told off all the required info earlier.

The gentleman that worked at the counter was not helpful and told me I should know the procedure as it was not the 1st time I had submitted a claim. I don't work there and do I know all the requirements and as I am a customer. The ITC ref for my black listed phone is 1426 7862 .

I HOPE TO GET A CALL FROM EDGARS MOBILE SOON!!!
